Final Poster

I chose this images because it makes people think and wonder what it is. I like letting people use their imagination as to how this picture came about. I have a firepit in my backyard in Utah that has a chimney on it. I noticed the embers would fly out the top and they were fairly bright, so I wanted to see if I could do a light photo with them if I kept my shutter open. I climbed to the top of the roof and had my mom stoke the fire, causing a million embers shooting out the top for 15 seconds while I stood still. The effect was perfect. I didnt move at all, the embers shot out in all different directions. I then did a slight sharpen and an adjustment layer to make the darker areas darker. I then masked out that layer so that they lighter areas wouldnt be too dark. Then I used the burn tool to get just the super exposed embers to be slightly darker.
