I had to take advantage of the beautiful day yesterday. I decided not to do any edits at all to these photos. I normally would have lightened some of the levels, but I think I will leave them in their pure form. The duck pictures I loved because they were so curious about me and why I was there. I think the first duck did well with flow because your eyes naturally follow its neck. The ducks in a line I felt also showed a good line example, plus they are just too cute. For nature, this one was harder for me because I am not one to photography scenery, but I was at the park and the sun was shining and I thought the sun was captivating. The sun glowing behind the plants in my third picture I thought was really cool and demonstrated light. I had to turn my shutter speed up really high so that the light wouldnt be washed out. The second tree picture I felt had good flow with the tree and the footprints leading around out of the photo. The last photo was an adventure. I had to hike through knee deep snow to get to it, but I love the tangled mess of the branches and the depth and line effect of the placement of it.
i gotta say that i love the first duck picture too. it looks like a missile with its neck stuck out, really making it a unique angle and position that i havnt seen captured before. the flora shots are all really nice too with the bright sun sparkling in the background without ruining the picture at all. i love the depth of field in "glow" with the plants springing up and the sun in between them makes them look even better
ReplyDeleteI love your “Duckie” picture because it’s a really interesting angle on the subject matter. I think you did a great job of shooting flora and fauna in the snow. I gave up on that and went to the green house but you captured things pretty well. Your editing shots are really cool too. Very interesting angles. I like how you got the sun catching the light off the side of the queen in the first shot.
